Popular Mexican action star Rodolfo De Anda stars in DUELO EN EL DESIERTO, a western about a woman torn between love and family. Laura marries retired and reformed gunslinger Billy despite her brother David`s objection to the union. Seeking to drive the couple apart, David deliberately starts a fight with Billy and seeks to blame him after being injured in the scuffle. Billy is sent to prison, and David concocts a new scheme to do away with him once and for all, while Laura and kindly priest Father Juan must prove Billy`s innocence before it`s too late. DUELO EN EL DESIERTO was written by Rodolfo De Anda`s father, Raul De Anda, who was himself a prolific screenwriter and producer in the Mexican film industry. The film also stars Fanny Cano, a popular actress in the 1960s and 1970s who died in a tragic plane crash.
