The GUINEA PIG series became infamous in Japan and quickly around the world for its vivid and unforgettable (and many charged, tasteless) depictions of sadistic violence and horrific situations. The final film produced in the series was DEVIL DOCTOR WOMAN. While more blacker-than-black comedy than outright horror, the film still contains the gruesomeness that made the series notorious. Peter is a transvestite amateur surgeon, who operates on his patients in ways almost too horrible to mention. Each undesired operation, however, affords the opportunity to recount a sick scenario. The horror-comedy has never been quite as grotesque as in DEVIL DOCTOR WOMAN.
