Musical star Mike Burstyn plays the title character, a confused simpleton, in the Israeli comedy TWO KUNI LEMEL (aka SHNEI KUNI LEMEL). Kuni Lemel is recruited by the local matchmaker, who has been given the task of finding a suitable husband for his boss' daughter, Ganor, while also trying to find a spouse for his own daughter. Kuni bears a striking resemblance to Ganor's boyfriend, whom her father has rejected, and is manipulated into courting the girl so that she can continue to see her true love secretly. This musical comedy of errors was so popular in Israel that it spawned two sequels and the name Kuni Lemel became part of the cultural idiom there.
