In a futuristic Japan, a conglomerate of 12 corporations rule society with the help of genetically modified psychics who maintain law and order by using their supernatural abilities. Teenager Kai works as one of these peacekeeping psychics (known as E's) for a special forces team run by the Ashurum corporation.
