When a young girl named Tsubasa follows a shooting star only to find that it is actually a spacecraft that has fallen to Earth, she meets a friendly alien who gives her a clone of herself named Hikaru. Although physically indistinguishable from Tsubasa, Hikaru's personality is almost the polar opposite of Tsubasa. However, when hostile aliens begin making their way to Earth, Tsubasa finds that she can merge with Hikaru to form Figure 17, a bio-humanoid combat system that may be the Earth's only hope against the extraterrestrial invaders. As the conclusion draws near, the girls grow even closer, especially in light of a significant event. However, neither of them realizes that Hikaru is undergoing a strange transformation!
